You watched Infinity Castle Part 1, you are desperate for the next film, and every headline seems to promise a date. Here is the straight answer: as of 27 October 2026, no release date for Infinity Castle Part 2 has been announced. The official Kimetsu no Yaiba site lists nothing for Parts 2 or 3. We are an Australian-owned anime store with a Demon Slayer collection and plenty of fans on the team, so we checked the official pages and the entertainment press and kept the confirmed facts apart from the guesses. This article is spoiler-free: dates and status only.

The short version

  • Release date: none announced as of 27 October 2026. The official site gives no date for Part 2 or Part 3.
  • 2027 is a guess: outlets point to 2027, but ufotable, Aniplex and Crunchyroll have not said so.
  • Part 1 is the baseline: it opened in Japan on 18 July 2025 and in Australia on 11 September 2025.
  • Next date to watch: Jump Festa 2027 runs on 19 and 20 December 2026, and Game Rant reports a Demon Slayer stage on 19 December.

Has Infinity Castle Part 2 got a release date?

No. As of 27 October 2026 there is no confirmed release date, title or trailer for Part 2.

The official Kimetsu no Yaiba anime page lists Part 1, Akaza Returns, and nothing for the next films. The film is the first of a trilogy announced in June 2024, according to Wikipedia, so Part 2 and Part 3 are expected, but expected is not the same as scheduled. Why does that matter? Because a lot of "release date" headlines treat a guess as a fact, and you do not want to book leave for a date that does not exist.

What is actually confirmed?

Three things are on solid ground: the trilogy, the Part 1 dates and the length of Part 1.

  • Trilogy: Infinity Castle is the first film of a trilogy announced in June 2024.
  • Part 1 in Japan: 18 July 2025.
  • Part 1 in Australia: 11 September 2025, with a runtime of 155 minutes.
  • Part 1 on disc in Japan: the official site advertises the Blu-ray and DVD on sale from 29 July 2026.

Those facts come from Wikipedia's page on the film and the official site, both checked today. Notice what is missing: any year for Part 2. Studios often announce the next film at an event, which is why the next section matters.

What is rumour, and why is 2027 everywhere?

The 2027 talk is inference, not an announcement. Game Rant and CBR both describe a 2027 release as unconfirmed.

Here is what the reports are built on:

  • Ufotable's production reel. CBR, writing on 21 September 2026, reads the studio's list of "future projects" as a sign Part 2 will not land in 2026. That is the outlet's reading, not a statement from the studio.
  • A placeholder listing. The movie tracking site The Numbers shows an "Untitled Crunchyroll/Sony Pictures Film" in September 2027. Two outlets quote slightly different days in September, and neither can say it is Part 2.
  • An earlier newspaper report. CBR notes that the Guardian reported a 2027 window and then backed away from it.

So treat 2027 as a sensible planning assumption, nothing more. If you see an article with a hard date and no link to ufotable, Aniplex or the official site, it is a guess.

When will we find out? Jump Festa 2027

The best bet for a first real update is Jump Festa 2027, on 19 and 20 December 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Japan.

The official Jump Festa site confirms the event dates and venue. It does not yet list individual stage programs. Game Rant reported on 27 September 2026 that Demon Slayer has a slot on the Jump Super Stage Red on 19 December, and that the show's official announcement of it came on 24 September. We could not confirm that on the official program page today, so treat it as reported, not verified. Nobody has said what the stage will show: a key visual, a teaser or a date are all hopes, not plans.

How to follow the news without getting fooled

A date counts as real when it comes from one of three places: the official Kimetsu no Yaiba site, Aniplex or ufotable, or an event stage that is actually broadcast. Everything else is commentary.

Use this quick check whenever a Part 2 headline lands:

  1. Is there a source link? If the article names no official account, site or press release, treat it as a rumour.
  2. Is the date a placeholder? Listings such as "untitled film" are slots, not announcements.
  3. Does it say "reportedly" or "could"? Then it is a prediction, however confident the headline.
  4. Does the official site say the same? Check kimetsu.com before you tell your mates.
  5. Is it dated? A claim from last year may already be out of date.

While you wait, our Demon Slayer watch order is a clean refresher so Part 2 lands with the story fresh in your head.

Common questions

Is Infinity Castle Part 2 coming out in 2026?

There is no announcement for 2026. Reports suggest it will not arrive this year, but that is an interpretation of ufotable's public material, not a statement from the studio.

When is Infinity Castle Part 2 coming out in Australia?

Not announced. Part 1 reached Australia on 11 September 2025, about two months after Japan, but no Australian date exists for Part 2 because no date exists at all yet.

How many Infinity Castle films are there?

Three are planned. The trilogy was announced in June 2024 and only Part 1 has been released.

Where can I watch Infinity Castle Part 1 in Australia?

Streaming availability changes by service, so check your streaming service. We do not list where it is showing because we could not verify that on an official page today.

Do I need to rewatch Demon Slayer before Part 2?

No, but it helps. Our watch order shows the full route from Season 1 to Part 1, so you can refresh the story before the next film.

What to do next

If you remember one thing: there is no confirmed date, so mark 19 December 2026 and watch the official channels.

Jump Festa is the next realistic moment for news, so wait for that before you plan anything around a premiere. In the meantime, our Demon Slayer collection has tees, cosplay, figures and cards for the whole cast, with 30-day returns.
