You have seen a figure you love, you have no idea whether $30 is a fair price or a trap, and one search shows tiny prices next to a statue that costs more than your phone. Here is the straight answer: our 24 figures range from $19.95 to $111.95, and most sit between $20 and $40. The price follows the kind of figure, its size, what comes in the box and how much detail is sculpted and painted. We sell figures, so we have an interest, and every price below was read from our live pages on 12 October 2026. This guide shows you what each price band gets you and how to spend sensibly on your first one.

The short version

  • Our figures run from $19.95 to $111.95. Ten of our 24 are under $30, ten more are $30 to $40, and four are above $40.
  • Wikipedia sorts figures into prize figures, which are the lower cost option, and scale figures, which can cost several hundreds to thousands of US dollars.
  • Size, set size, a display base and the box all move the price, so compare what is in the box before you compare the number.
  • Shipping is free on every order, with 30-day returns.

What do anime figures cost in Australia?

Most figures at Anime State cost between $20 and $40, and the full range is $19.95 to $111.95. That is every price on our figures collection when we checked it on 12 October 2026.

Price band Figures in that band Examples
Under $30 10 Slime Rimuru Throne Figure $19.95, Jujutsu Kaisen Gojo and Geto Figure $24.95, One Piece Luffy Gear 5 Nika Figure $29.95
$30 to $40 10 Black Clover Asta Figure $33.95, Naruto Itachi Uchiha Akatsuki Figure $34.95, Demon Slayer Zenitsu Thunder Breathing Figure $39.95
Over $40 4 Naruto Chibi Figure Set (12 Pack) $41.95, One Piece Chibi Sitting Figure $48.95, Dragon Ball Shenron and Goku Figure $63.95, Jujutsu Kaisen 17 cm Boxed Figure $111.95

Why does that matter to you? Because the cheapest figure in our range is not a cut-down version of the dearest one. They are different things. The $19.95 Rimuru sits on his throne on a desk, while the $111.95 figure is a 17 cm Jujutsu Kaisen figure that arrives in its original box.

Prize, scale and chibi: what the words mean

Prize figures are the lower cost tier, scale figures are the premium tier, and chibi figures are a style rather than a price tier. Wikipedia's article on model figures says figures are usually classified as prize figures, scale figures and others, with prize figures being lower cost options often used in claw crane games, while scale figures can cost several hundreds to thousands of US dollars. It adds that prices for the same figure can differ a lot depending on authenticity and quality.

Chibi, or "super deformed", figures have a big head and a small body. Wikipedia describes the Nendoroid line from Good Smile Company as figures of about 10 cm with swappable faces and parts. Our chibi sets follow the same idea, for example the Naruto Chibi Figure Set, which is twelve painted PVC figures of about 7 cm each on their own bases.

Here is the practical point. The category tells you the ballpark, but the product page tells you what you are actually buying: height, material, what is in the box. Read those three lines before you read the price.

What moves the price

The listing details on our own pages show four things that separate a $19.95 figure from a $111.95 one. Wikipedia adds the fifth, quality, which you can only judge from photos and reviews.

  • Size. The Dragon Ball Shenron and Goku Figure is about 22 cm of painted PVC and costs $63.95. The Naruto chibi figures are about 7 cm each.
  • How many figures you get. The Naruto set is twelve figures for $41.95, and the Demon Slayer Chibi Figure Set is four figures for $19.95. A set can look dear at the checkout and cheap per character.
  • Base and scene. Shenron and Goku comes with a cloud base, so you pay for a display piece, not just a character standing still.
  • Packaging. The Jujutsu Kaisen 17 cm figure arrives in its original box, ready to display or keep sealed.
  • Quality and authenticity. Wikipedia says the same figure can differ widely in price depending on both. Look for clear photos and a product page that states height and material.

Why a bigger figure is not always better

A 22 cm centrepiece suits a shelf, but a 7 cm set suits a desk. If you only have a monitor stand to work with, a $63.95 figure that does not fit is a worse buy than a $19.95 one that does. Measure the space before you pick.

How much should you spend on a first figure?

Spend $20 to $40 on your first one. That is where most of our range sits, and it lets you find out whether you enjoy displaying figures before you commit to a bigger piece.

Here is how a few budgets play out on our current prices:

Your budget What it buys right now
About $20 Slime Rimuru Throne Figure, Spy x Family Yor Forger Figure, the Demon Slayer 4-pack or the Apothecary Diaries Maomao and Jinshi set, all $19.95
About $35 A single character such as Black Clover Asta $33.95, Naruto Itachi $34.95 or Solo Leveling Sung Jinwoo $34.95
About $65 The Dragon Ball Shenron and Goku Figure $63.95, a larger display piece with a cloud base
Over $100 The Jujutsu Kaisen 17 cm Boxed Figure $111.95, in its original box
Jujutsu Kaisen Yuji Itadori 17 cm figure posed in a fighting stance beside its original retail box

Five checks before you buy

  1. Find the height on the product page and picture it next to your monitor or on your shelf.
  2. Check what is in the box: one figure, a set, a base, a stand.
  3. Look at the material. Our chibi set is listed as painted PVC.
  4. Check shipping. It is free on every order, so one figure at $34.95 arrives for $34.95 in total.
  5. Check the delivery time (5 to 15 business days) and the 30-day returns before you commit.

Common questions

Why are prize figures cheaper?

Wikipedia describes prize figures as the lower cost option often used in claw crane games, so they are made as an accessible tier. Scale figures sit above them and can cost several hundreds to thousands of US dollars.

How big is a chibi figure?

It varies by line. Wikipedia says the main Nendoroid series is about 10 cm tall, and our own Naruto chibi figures are about 7 cm each.

Is a $20 figure worth it?

Yes, if it is the character you love and it fits your space. The price tells you about size and what is in the box, not how much you will enjoy it on your shelf.

Do figures cost extra to ship?

Shipping is free on every order. Delivery is 5 to 15 business days.

What to do next

If you are not sure which figure to start with, pick the character first and the price second. Our figures collection lists every figure with its price, and each product page tells you what is in the box, so you can compare before you decide. If you are still choosing a favourite, our strongest One Piece characters ranking is a fun place to settle the argument. Sources for the figure categories are Wikipedia's model figure and Nendoroid articles.
